Con Air (1997)

When a group of the most dangerous and notorious prisoners in the U.S. penal system are transferred to a new super-maximum security facility, parolee Cameron Poe hitches a ride on their Con Air transport flight only to find himself embroiled in a meticulously planned midair hijacking masterminded by Cyrus “The Virus” Grissom. On the ground, U.S. Marshal Vince Larkin faces impossible odds as he tries to avert the takeover and, at the same time, keep his overzealous superiors from blowing up the aircraft and its passengers. Together, Poe and Larkin must stop Cyrus and his band of savage, hardened lifers from massacring everyone on board as the damaged plane careens toward disaster on the FAMED Las Vegas strip. National Treasure (2004)

A patriotic, third-generation treasure-hunter, Benjamin Franklin Gates, has spent his life searching for a great treasure that no one believed existed. Hidden by our Founding Fathers, they left clues to the treasure’s location right before our eyes—from our nation’s birthplace, to the nation’s Capitol, to clues buried within the symbols on the dollar bill. Gates’s journey takes him to the last place anyone thought to look, on the back of the Declaration of Independence. But what he thought was the final clue is only the beginning. Birdy (1984)

To escape an irrational world, Birdy (Matthew Modine), a Vietnam veteran, sits in an almost catatonic state in an Army hospital, where he has come to believe he is one of the feathered creatures of his boyhood dreams. In an effort to break Birdy's silence, his psychiatrist brings in Al Columbato (Cage), Birdy's loyal best friend of his youth. Al desperately tries to reach the disturbed Birdy and bring him back to reality. The answer may lie in their youth, where the eccentric Birdy first donned wings and the happy-go-lucky Al helped him to fly. Get tickets to Birdy (1984)

City of Angels (1998)

After losing a patient in the operating room for no apparent reason, Dr. Maggie Rice (Meg Ryan) suffers a crisis of confidence in her ability as a heart surgeon. Seth (Nicolas Cage), the angel dispatched to comfort the dying man, feels an instant attraction to Maggie and yearns to experience the corporeal world that he can only observe. When Seth materializes and reveals himself to Maggie, her down-to-earth logic clashes with his otherworldly faith. Yet their love for each other grows deeper than either would have believed possible, and Seth must decide whether to give up his status as an angel to live as a human being. Based on Wim Wenders' classic film Wings of Desire. Get tickets to City of Angels (1998)

Kick Ass (2010)

Not all superheroes wear capes — some don a customized wet suit and dub themselves Kick-Ass! Based on a beloved comic series, this 15th anniversary release of the twisted, high-octane action-adventure from director Matthew Vaughn (the Kingsman films) follows a comic book-obsessed teen (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) who reinvents himself as a crime-fighting hero, with one glaring problem: he has no training or actual superpowers. In a near-death confrontation with a ruthless drug dealer, Kick-Ass is rescued by a pair of costumed, highly skilled vigilantes — Big Daddy (Nicolas Cage) and his daughter, Hit Girl (Chloë Grace Moretz). When they all join forces along with another rookie avenger called Red Mist (Christopher Mintz-Plasse), a brutal mobster and object of Big Daddy’s vengeance pushes their alliance and skills to the brink.
